Back Pain
Studies show that 90% of Americans will suffer from back pain at some point during their lives. Nearly 50% of those who suffer back pain will experience more than one episode.
Low back pain is one of the most common causes for visits to hospital emergency rooms and to family doctors. Low back pain is second only to the common cold as a reason for lost work days.
Choosing the proper treatment for your back pain is not always easy. If you have suffered from back pain for any length of time, you have probably received conflicting advice on how to treat your pain.
Back pain is not a disease. It is a symptom that is caused by different factors. These factors may include injury or repetitive motion, degenerative disc disease, arthritis or stress.
